Depot Spotlight: Eckville Bottle Depot

Different Locations One Historic Goal

Owned and operated since 1973 by Arthur LeRoy and Laurie Carritt, the Eckville Bottle Depot first sprung up behind Carritt & Sons Hardware before moving over to Eckville Super Service.

Still operated to this day by Laurie, the Depot now calls the old site of the Lions & Community Dance Hall it’s home at 5119 50th St.

While the physical address has changed a few times over the years, the spirit of the service remains the same – to provide the community with easy and friendly access for recycling their beverage containers.

Basketball Teams to Bucking Broncos…

Supporting local community centers and rodeos for 45 years, the Depot has also sponsored many ball and hockey teams.

The Eckville Bottle Depot has hosted bottle drives all throughout central Alberta in support of their hockey, basketball, soccer and swim teams.

As well as supporting groups like the 4-H Club, funding for new playgrounds, schools and many other good causes including assisting others in their own fundraising initiatives.
