Grande Prairie Community Shines at the Plus II Applaud a Depot Event

This month’s winner proves that Depots are essential to the community. Plus II Bottle Depot in Grande Prairie had an amazing turnout as April Parker won this month’s Applaud A Depot.  April Parker was surprised with a $100 gift card, which was matched by Plus I and Plus II Bottle Depots to go towards her charity organization, “Grande Prairie Secret Angels”.

April mentioned the importance of the Bottle Depot to produce the funds needed to accomplish her mandate - to help families at risk and lower income families in need. She mentioned the other non-profit organizations she works with that support each other through the Bottle Depot to fund their efforts.

Presenting the award was MLA Wayne Drisdale, representing the district of Grande Prairie-Wapiti. He mentioned in his speech the importance of the Depot in the community and the how the Applaud A Depot program is an excellent way to interact with customers and provide positive feedback for its service. Members of Signature Support Services Society, a charity organization that runs the Bottle Depots in Grande Prairie were also in attendance. This included Board Chair, Chris Turnmire, Ryan Mysko, Chair of the Finance and Business Development Committee and Darrin Stubs, Executive Director for the Society.

To be entered in the next draw on June 1st, visit www.applaudadepot.ca and leave an Applaud.
