The Great Prairie Bottle Harvest

The biggest bottle drive in Alberta kicks off this October as a fun and easy way for everyone in our province to get involved in raising funds for causes they care about.

There are already a bunch of incredible groups fundraising this fall including the Boys and Girls Club of Lethbridge for subsidized childcare, Alberta Cerebral Palsy Association, Girl Guides of Canada, free youth drop-in nights, skill-building activities and many more.

Check out registered participants in The Great Prairie Bottle Harvest to see if there's an organization collecting containers near you or that you would like to deliver and donate your containers to.

The more beverage containers harvested, the more vital funding is raised.

  •  Containers 1L or less = 10 cents
  • Containers over 1L = 25 cents

How to Register

Register your own drive at changethatcounts.ca and select from one of three drive dates:

- October 13th, 2018
- October 20th, 2018
- October 27th, 2018

*registration closes one month before chosen drive date

Let Alberta Depot know who or what you’re raising funds for, and where you’ll be raising them. You can raise funds for your community, organization, club, a person or family in need, your team or anything else you care about.

How to Promote

Once you register you’ll receive everything you need to organize and promote your event in your promotional kit including plenty of door hangers and a full suite of digital and social media materials.

Get Harvesting

In October, get out there and harvest recyclable beverage containers from your friends, neighbours, and local businesses. When you’re done, a Depot partner will coordinate with you to ensure a smooth, successful, and rewarding day for your cause.

Raise Funds and Share Your Story

After your successful harvest, be sure to share how you created change that counts for those in need.
