'Tis the Season For Giving

As an Alberta company, we’re proud to be part of a community that comes together to help those in need, especially during the holiday season. For families who don't have a place to call home this holiday season, a small donation can provide a warm place to enjoy a hearty meal. While the Mustard Seed is dedicated to providing meals throughout the year, their Christmas feasts should have all the trimmings. Your holiday donation enables them to go all-out for their patrons.

The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is a large-scale organization that puts together a number of events during the holiday season. From toys to food hampers, The Salvation Army relies on charitable donations to provide items that help lessen the effects of poverty during the holidays.

We are inspired by their mission to end homelessness in Southern Alberta and applaud them for their hand in helping families find permanent homes.

Women who are dealing with homelessness or estrangement from their families can be especially impacted by the holidays. The Shoe Box Project provides items that not only support these women, but also serves as a reminder that they’re part of a community that cares.

Project Warmth

Winters in Alberta are bitterly cold. Project Warmth helps homeless community members by providing warm clothes, blankets, sleeping bags, and more. For those without a home this Christmas, Project Warmth strives to make the season a little more comfortable.

Ronald McDonald House Charities

Across Alberta, families with sick children will be spending the holidays in the hospital. Sometimes, families face separation during the holidays due to the high cost of accommodation. Supporting the Ronald McDonald House helps keep families together and provides them with  a memorable Christmas.

Adopt a Family

There’s nothing quite like the joy and excitement on a child’s face as they tear through wrapping paper to discover a surprise inside. However, a Christmas morning with no presents under the tree is the reality facing many low-income families in your community. Closer to Home’s Adopt-a-Family initiative allows you to give the gift of holiday cheer to a family going through hard times. You can donate money to the cause, or adopt a family and provide them with all the groceries and gifts they need to have a magical Christmas.
